1. The curriculum includes studio art practice、art theory and also new media and technology of digital art. The main structure of the curriculum intends to combine Eastern and Western art practice as well as integrating traditional and modern art. It also emphasizes on the interconnection and integration of each different fields to be able to educate art professionals and art educators.
2. The curriculum is planned for five major systems:
( 1) Art practice of Western painting
( 2) Art practice of Chinese painting
( 3) Art practice of mixed-media
( 4) Digital art and creative design
( 5) Theory of art and design
The above five major systems intends to combine the need for students’ future developments for advanced studies or careers in the field of art and design. The students can choose their specificities for their interests and career developments as art professionals.
The curriculum of MA program emphasizes on educating art professionals, art theorists and art administrators who have abilities in research and practice in art. This program also intend to educate art teachers in the field of visual art. There are both fields of art theory and art practice in MA program, they are divided in three sections:
( 1) Western painting
( 2) Chinese painting
( 3) Image and space
